The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a designated pupil, delivering tailored support. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will help adapt learning materials, encourage engagement, and provide emotional and behavioural support where needed.
Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated 1:1 support as a SEN Teaching Assistant
Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual needs
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff
Promote inclusion and independence
Requirements
Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with additional needs
Understanding of SEN such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs
Calm, resilient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
