The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a designated pupil, delivering tailored support. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will help adapt learning materials, encourage engagement, and provide emotional and behavioural support where needed.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support as a SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual needs

  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff

  • Promote inclusion and independence



Requirements

  • Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with additional needs

  • Understanding of SEN such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs

  • Calm, resilient, and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
