1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant / Support Staff Opportunities andndash; Leighton Buzzard
Primary, Secondary, and Special Needs Schools in and around Leighton Buzzard
Supply Desk, in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council, is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistants to support students in schools located in Leighton Buzzard and the surrounding areas. As a trusted education recruitment specialist, we offer rewarding opportunities for individuals who are committed to helping students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) succeed in the classroom.
About the RoleWe are looking for caring and motivated individuals who want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. In this role, you will work one-to-one with pupils who require additional support due to special educational needs, helping them engage in learning and develop confidence.
You may support students with needs such as:
Autism (ASC)
ADHD
Dyslexia
Learning difficulties
Social, emotional and behavioural needs
Whether you already have experience supporting children with SEN or you are looking to begin your career in education, our consultants will work with you to place you in schools within Leighton Buzzard and nearby communities that best suit your skills and availability.
RequirementsExperience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
Understanding of Special Educational Needs and inclusive support strategies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to support positive behaviour and engagement in learning
Patience, empathy, and a supportive attitude
Flexibility to work in different school settings in Leighton Buzzard
