Air Conditioning Engineer - London - Contract - Rate Negotiable

Overview

Fuel Recruitment is working with a leading telecommunications organisation that is looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to support the maintenance, installation and repair of cooling systems within telecoms infrastructure sites across London.

This is a contract opportunity for a hands-on engineer with experience working in critical environments, including telecoms cabinets, network sites and communications infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring cooling systems operate effectively to maintain network uptime and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on air conditioning and cooling systems within telecoms cabinets and network sites.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on a range of HVAC and cooling equipment.
  • Install, commission and test air conditioning units and associated equipment.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance call-outs and emergency breakdowns.
  • Complete service reports, maintenance records and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Key Skills / Experience

  • Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or HVAC Engineer.
  • Experience working within telecoms environments, including street cabinets, data centres, network sites or communications infrastructure.
  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills.
  • F-Gas certification (essential).
  • Knowledge of split systems, DX cooling units and other commercial air conditioning systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures within critical infrastructure environments.
