Smart Education is currently recruiting for an experienced and inspirational senior leader to join an all-age broad-spectrum special school in the Stratford-upon-Avon area. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-performing practitioner who is passionate about inclusive education and ready to play a key role in shaping the future direction of a specialist setting.

This role would suit an established Assistant Headteacher, SENCO, or experienced middle/senior leader looking to progress into a wider leadership role within SEND education.

Job requirements:
andbull; Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
andbull; Proven leadership experience at middle or senior leadership level
andbull; Experience working with pupils with SEND or transferable leadership experience from mainstream education
andbull; SENCO qualification desirable, or willingness to undertake SENCO training
andbull; Strong strategic leadership and school improvement skills
andbull; Excellent communication, resilience and emotional intelligence
andbull; Ability to motivate, inspire and lead staff teams effectively
andbull; Enhanced Child andamp; Adult DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Role responsibilities:
andbull; Support the Headteacher in driving school improvement and strategic development
andbull; Lead on quality of education, curriculum development and teaching standards
andbull; Support staff development, coaching and performance management
andbull; Ensure high expectations and inclusive practice across the school
andbull; Work collaboratively with families, external agencies and trust leaders
andbull; Promote positive outcomes for pupils with a wide range of complex needs
andbull; Act as a visible, supportive and inspirational leader across the school
