Assistant Town Planner
Location: Bedfordshire
Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 DOE
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Planner to join a growing planning consultancy based in Bedfordshire. Our client is looking to bring in someone at Assistant Planner level who is keen to develop their career within a supportive and experienced team.
Working as part of a close-knit team of five, you will gain exposure to a broad range of planning projects and be given the opportunity to take ownership of your workload while receiving guidance and support from senior colleagues when needed.
The Role
andmiddot;Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
andmiddot;Undertaking planning research and policy reviews.
andmiddot;Preparing reports, supporting statements, and planning appraisals.
andmiddot;Liaising with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders.
andmiddot;Managing your own workload and progressing projects with appropriate support from the wider team.
About You
andmiddot;Approximately 1-3 years' planning experience gained within either the public or private sector.
andmiddot;Working towards professional chartership (RTPI) but not yet fully chartered.
andmiddot;Able to work independently and proactively, managing tasks with minimal supervision.
andmiddot;Strong written and verbal communication skills.
andmiddot;Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
andmiddot;Ideally located within reasonable commuting distance of Sharnbrook, with candidates from areas such as Bedford, St Albans, Cambridge, and surrounding locations encouraged to apply.
