Job Title: Bench Joiner
Location: Deeside
Salary: £14.90-£16.90 per hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Temp to Perm, Full-time
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7am-5pm

Hexagon Recruitment is looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join a manufacturing client in Deeside as soon as possible, on a temp-to-perm basis. The work involves laminate and veneer panels and drilling and routing aluminium extrusions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating routers, hand trimmers, pillar drills and chop saws
• Machining and assembling components accurately from drawings and cutting lists
• Inspecting and measuring work to meet quality standards
• Preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment
• Supporting other areas of the factory when needed
• Training and supporting other staff
• Following safe working practices and wearing the correct PPE

Requirements

• 2-3 years minimum in joinery, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, shopfitting or a similar environment
• Experience with laminates, veneers, hardwoods, softwoods and sheet materials
• Good understanding of technical drawings
• A trade qualification (NVQ Level 2/3) or an apprenticeship in a joinery-related discipline is preferred
• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
• Comfortable in a physically demanding role
• A forklift licence is desirable
