Our client is seeking an experienced BMS Support Engineer to join their team at a major healthcare facility in Luton. This is a static-site role, offering the opportunity to work closely with a key customer, develop in-depth knowledge of a complex and critical environment, and become an integral part of a highly skilled engineering team.
This position would suit a customer-focused engineer who enjoys fault-finding, maintaining critical building systems, and building long-term relationships while supporting an essential healthcare estate.

Please note: This role is based on-site in Luton, and applicants should be within a reasonable commuting distance.

The Role As a BMS Support Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Building Management Systems and associated controls, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery across a critical healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on BMS and control systems.
• Diagnose faults and respond to reactive service and breakdown calls.
• Complete minor repairs, adjustments and remedial works.
• Conduct routine system inspections to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Build strong working relationships with site stakeholders and provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports and technical documentation.
• Identify system improvement, replacement and upgrade opportunities.
• Prepare and raise quotations for additional works where appropriate.
• Support the ongoing operation of critical building services and HVAC systems.

About You We're looking for an experienced BMS professional who is keen to continue developing their technical expertise while working in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience within the Building Management Systems (BMS/BEMS) industry.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of mechanical plant, HVAC systems and building services.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Methodical approach to problem-solving and technical investigations.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
• Strong IT literacy and experience using PC-based software.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working with Siemens PX and Siemens Desigo systems.
• Knowledge of other BMS platforms and controls technologies.
• Experience working within healthcare, critical environments or large commercial facilities.
• Manufacturer training or relevant industry certifications.

Training and support will be provided for engineers looking to further develop their Siemens BMS knowledge.
