Location: Marlow, Buckinghamshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am andndash; 6:00pm (1-hour unpaid break)
Salary: andpound;30,000 andndash; andpound;32,000 per annum
Overview
We are recruiting a reliable and hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to join a busy site in Marlow.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a proactive attitude and strong all-round maintenance skills to support the upkeep of both the building and surrounding grounds.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and professional environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general building maintenance and repairs
Complete routine inspections (communal areas, plant rooms, lighting, fire systems)
Respond to maintenance issues quickly and efficiently
Support planned preventative maintenance schedules
Undertake basic plumbing, electrical, decorating, and repair work
Maintain external areas including grounds and gardens
Keep accurate maintenance records and report major issues
Assist with contractor supervision and ensure Handamp;S compliance
Conduct weekly fire alarm testing and safety checks
Attend site for emergency call-outs when required
Skills andamp; Experience
Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role
Good all-round knowledge of trades (plumbing, carpentry, decorating, basic electrics)
Practical problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
Good communication and basic IT skills
Understanding of health andamp; safety regulations
