Location: Remote (projects across Suffolk andamp; Essex) Salary: andpound;35,000 andndash; andpound;45,000 + benefits

Conrad Consulting is delighted to be working with a welland#8209;established and forwardand#8209;thinking consultancy as they look to appoint a Building Surveyor to support a growing pipeline of work across Suffolk and Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated surveyor who enjoys a varied workload, autonomy, and the flexibility of remote working while still being handsand#8209;on with a diverse range of projects.

The Role

You will be involved in a broad mix of professional and projectand#8209;based work, supporting clients across residential, commercial, and publicand#8209;sector portfolios. From building surveys and defect diagnosis to refurbishment projects and technical reporting, this role offers genuine variety and the chance to develop your expertise across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake a wide range of building surveys, including condition surveys and measured surveys

  • Carry out building pathology assessments and diagnose defects

  • Support and manage project work, including refurbishment and remedial schemes

  • Prepare clear, accurate technical reports and recommendations

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout project delivery

  • Assist with planning, specification writing, and contract administration

  • Produce drawings and technical details (CAD skills beneficial)

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards

Skills andamp; Experience Required
  • Experience in building surveying, building pathology, or related construction disciplines

  • Strong technical understanding of building defects and construction methods

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Excellent communication and clientand#8209;facing skills

  • Strong reportand#8209;writing ability with attention to detail

  • CAD proficiency beneficial but not essential

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Suffolk and Essex
