Building Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join a growing team focused on building surveying projects across the UK. The building surveyor will work across a variety of sectors, including commercial, residential, and refurbishment projects. This building surveyor role will allow you to develop your expertise in building surveying while contributing to high-quality project delivery. The building surveyor will be based in a central London office, working with a team of skilled professionals.

The Role
As a building surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from survey to completion, providing expert advice and ensuring quality outcomes. The role will include:

• Conducting condition surveys, building surveys, and due diligence assessments
• Producing schedules of condition and licences to alter
• Supporting design, refurbishment, and retrofit projects
• Delivering External Wall System (EWS) visual and intrusive surveys
• Managing contract administration and acting as an employers' agent
• Providing input on planned and reactive maintenance programmes
• Advising on building pathology, statutory compliance, and heritage matters

The Building Surveyor
You will be a committed building surveyor with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the property and construction industry. Private practice experience is preferred, and the candidate will have a demonstrable track record in commercial or residential projects. The ideal building surveyor will have:

• A degree in building surveying or related property discipline
• Experience managing construction contracts and project delivery
• Strong communication skills to interface effectively with clients and teams
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues and support a collaborative environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
• A valid, clean driver's licence
