Building Surveyor
Location: Lancashire, hybrid
Rate: Up to -36 per hour
Contract: 3-6 months ongoing

Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for an Interim Building Surveyor to support a public sector client in Lancashire. You will help deliver a range of building projects across an occupied estate, working with an established multi-disciplinary property and construction function.

This role suits someone hands-on in design, specification and project delivery, comfortable managing multiple schemes and stakeholders, and confident working to public sector standards, policies and deadlines.

Responsibilities include
  • Deliver design and specification work for refurbishments and minor works (e.g., extensions, windows, roofing, fencing, flooring, decoration)
  • Lead or support project management on building projects (time, cost, quality, reporting)
  • Liaise with internal teams, external consultants and stakeholders across the estate
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Support capital and condition-led programmes, maintaining strong client focus

About you
  • Proven Building Surveying experience delivering building projects end to end
  • AutoCAD experience is essential
  • Strong knowledge of building specification and relevant regulations (Building Regs, planning awareness)
  • Confident communicator with solid stakeholder management skills
