We are now looking for an exceptional Registered Childrenandrsquo;s Home Manager to lead one of our specialist solo-occupancy residential childrenandrsquo;s homes.andnbsp;
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can be visible,andnbsp;accountableandnbsp;and deeply involved in the day-to-day life of the home. About the roleandnbsp;
As Registered Childrenandrsquo;s Home Manager, you willandnbsp;be responsible forandnbsp;the safe,andnbsp;effectiveandnbsp;and compliant running of the home.andnbsp;
You will lead your team to deliver high-quality, child-centred care that is aligned with CIW expectations, statutory requirements, safeguardingandnbsp;responsibilitiesandnbsp;and Arbour Healthcare Groupandrsquo;s values.andnbsp;
You will be accountable for embedding the RESET Care Model, developing your staff team,andnbsp;maintainingandnbsp;high standardsandnbsp;of care, driving qualityandnbsp;improvementandnbsp;and ensuring every young person is supported to feel seen, heard, safe and understood.andnbsp;
You will alsoandnbsp;be responsible forandnbsp;the operational, financial,andnbsp;regulatoryandnbsp;and people-management duties that come with leading a residential childrenandrsquo;s home.andnbsp;
This is not a work-from-home leadership role. You will be present in the home, visible to your team, active in practice and confident leading from the front.andnbsp;
Key responsibilitiesandnbsp;

Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the residential childrenandrsquo;s homeandnbsp;

Ensure the home is safe, nurturing, well-led and compliant withandnbsp;CIW standardsandnbsp;

Embed the RESET Care Model and ensure trauma-informed practice is reflected in daily careandnbsp;
-
Champion safeguarding, childandnbsp;protectionandnbsp;and professional curiosity across the serviceandnbsp;
-
Lead, supervise,andnbsp;supportandnbsp;and develop the Deputy Manager and Residential Childrenandrsquo;s Support Workersandnbsp;

Ensure care plans, risk assessments and placement plans are implemented,andnbsp;reviewedandnbsp;and kept up to dateandnbsp;
-
Promote positive outcomes for young people across emotional wellbeing, education, health, relationships, lifeandnbsp;skillsandnbsp;and independenceandnbsp;

Build effective relationships with social workers, families, schools, health professionals, localandnbsp;authoritiesandnbsp;and external agenciesandnbsp;
-
Manage incidents, safeguardingandnbsp;concernsandnbsp;and crisis situations calmly,andnbsp;professionallyandnbsp;and decisivelyandnbsp;

Oversee rotas, staffing levels, supervision, appraisals,andnbsp;trainingandnbsp;and workforce developmentandnbsp;

Maintainandnbsp;accurateandnbsp;records and ensureandnbsp;high standardsandnbsp;of digital documentationandnbsp;

Lead on quality assurance, audits, serviceandnbsp;improvementandnbsp;and preparation for inspectionsandnbsp;

Participate in the on-call rotaandnbsp;

Role-model best practice on the floor and create a culture of accountability,andnbsp;learningandnbsp;and reflectionandnbsp;
What we are looking forandnbsp;
We are looking for a strong,andnbsp;capableandnbsp;and values-led Registered Manager who understands the responsibility that comes with leading a childrenandrsquo;s home.andnbsp;
You will need to bring professional confidence, emotional resilience, regulatoryandnbsp;knowledgeandnbsp;and the ability to lead people through both progress and challenge.andnbsp;
You will have:andnbsp;
At least 2 yearsandrsquo; experience working with children in a residential care environment within the last 5 yearsandnbsp;
At least 1andnbsp;yearandrsquo;s experienceandnbsp;in a senior role, such as Team Leader, Deputy Manager or equivalentandnbsp;
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peopleandrsquo;s Services, or a commitment to work towards this (we will pay for your qualification)andnbsp;
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, childandnbsp;protectionandnbsp;and safer care practiceandnbsp;
A good understanding of Ofsted and/or CIW regulations, inspectionandnbsp;frameworksandnbsp;and compliance expectationsandnbsp;
Experience leading,andnbsp;supervisingandnbsp;and developing staff teamsandnbsp;
The ability to manage challenging situations,andnbsp;incidentsandnbsp;and crisis responses safely and professionallyandnbsp;
Strong written and verbal communication skillsandnbsp;
Confidence using digital systems, including Word, Excel,andnbsp;PowerPointandnbsp;and paperless care-recording systemsandnbsp;
A clear commitment to working flexibly, including some evenings, weekends,andnbsp;nightsandnbsp;and on-call responsibilities whereandnbsp;requiredandnbsp;
The ability to lead with warmth, boundaries,andnbsp;consistencyandnbsp;and accountabilityandnbsp;

You must be able to hold the whole home in mind. That means the young person, the staff team, the rota, the budget, the records, the risks, theandnbsp;regulatorsandnbsp;and the outcomes.andnbsp;

You will need to be the kind of leader who notices when standards drift, steps in when practice needs support and challenges anything that does not serve the best interests of the young person.andnbsp;

You will also need to lead a Progress Project with or for a young person. This means driving a meaningful piece of work that showsandnbsp;clear evidenceandnbsp;of a young person being challenged,andnbsp;supportedandnbsp;and changed in a positive way.andnbsp;
