Civil Infrastructure Engineer - Edinburgh

An established engineering consultancy in Edinburgh is looking to recruit a Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join its growing infrastructure team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial developments, delivering infrastructure and drainage solutions from concept through to construction.

The Role

  • Design and deliver surface water, foul water and highway drainage solutions for residential and commercial developments.
  • Prepare drainage strategies, calculations and technical reports.
  • Produce and review detailed infrastructure drawings using industry-standard software.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, architects and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Support planning applications and technical approvals, including S104, S106 and S38 processes where applicable.
  • Manage projects and contribute to the successful delivery of schemes within programme and budget.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience in infrastructure design within a consultancy environment.
  • Proficient in drainage design software such as MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage and Civil 3D (or similar).
  • Good understanding of current UK design standards and drainage legislation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Working towards or already chartered status would be advantageous, but is not essential.
