Carrington West are assisting BCP Council with the appointment of an experienced Class 2F Registered Building Inspector to support their Building Control team on a rolling contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RBI to join a busy local authority with a strong pipeline of work, supporting the delivery of building regulation compliance across a varied portfolio of projects.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering professional Building Control services in line with current legislation and the requirements of the Building Safety Regulator. The role will involve both site inspections and plan assessments across a range of developments.
Key responsibilities include:
andmiddot;Carrying out site inspections to ensure compliance with Building Regulations
andmiddot;Assessing building control applications and associated plans
andmiddot;Providing technical guidance to developers, contractors, and members of the public
andmiddot;Supporting the council in maintaining high standards of safety and regulatory compliance
andmiddot;Managing a varied caseload of projects within your competency level
Requirements
andmiddot;Registered Building Inspector - Class 2F
andmiddot;Strong working knowledge of Building Regulations and current legislation
andmiddot;Experience working within a Local Authority Building Control team
andmiddot;Ability to manage workload independently and provide clear technical advice
andmiddot;Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
