CNC Setter Operator

Base salary:andnbsp;andpound;38,000 - 40,000 Shift Allowanceandnbsp;

Shift allowance: 16.6% andndash; Monday to Friday andndash; Earlies and Lates

Alternate 2 week shift pattern 6amandndash;2pm / 2pmandndash;10pm

Location: Birmingham

We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join a fast-paced precision engineering environment. Youandrsquo;ll set and run CNC machines to produce high-quality components to strict tolerances.

CNC Setter/ Operator Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machines efficiently
• The CNC Setter/ Operator will read engineering drawings and edit programs where required
• Inspect parts using measuring equipment (CMM, micrometres, verniers)
• Monitor machine performance and report faults
• Support continuous improvement and quality standards

CNC Setter/ Operator Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist and CNC setting/operating experience andndash; Any programming knowledge ideal
• Knowledge of multi-axis or 5-axis machining andndash; Mazak andamp; Matsuura Preferred
• The CNC Machinist - Setter/ Operator will need to have controls experience with FANUC or Mazatrol (preferred)
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings
• Ability to work independently and maintain high quality standardsandnbsp;
• High Variety Low Volume experience preferredandnbsp;
