Salary: -26,000 - -36,000 + Term Time Only + Excellent Holidays + Pension + Training andamp; Development

You'll be joining an experienced and supportive team of instructors, all from industry backgrounds, working together to deliver engaging workshop-based learning. With a strong focus on practical delivery, behaviour development, and employability skills, this is a role where your experience truly matters.
In this role, you'll deliver a mix of theory and hands-on sessions across areas such as brickwork, carpentry, joinery, decorating and basic multi-trade skills. You'll support learners in developing both technical ability and workplace behaviours, helping them grow in confidence and move towards positive outcomes.
The ideal candidate will come from a hands-on construction background and have at least two strong trade areas, for example:
- Brickwork and carpentry
- Carpentry and joinery
- Joinery and decorating
- Plastering and painting andamp; decorating
You don't need teaching experience to apply - what matters is your industry knowledge, patience, and desire to support and develop others. Full training and support will be provided to help you transition into education.

The Role:
- Deliver practical and theory-based construction sessions in a workshop/classroom environment
- Teach multi-trade skills including brickwork, carpentry, joinery and decorating
- Support learners in developing confidence, behaviour and employability skills
- Monitor progress and provide feedback on performance and development
- Maintain a safe, organised workshop and promote best health andamp; safety practices
- Work closely with other instructors and support staff to create a positive learning environment
The Person:
- Background in construction with at least two strong trade skills (e.g. brickwork, carpentry, joinery, plastering or decorating)
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant construction discipline
- Passion for supporting and developing young people
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, approachable and positive mindset
- Willingness to work towards a teaching/assessing qualification (if not already held)
