Contract Manager - Social Housing (Repairs andamp; Maintenance)
Salary: -50,000 - -60,000
Location: Basildon
Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Contract: Permanent

We are currently working in partnership with a well-established organisation within the social housing sector to recruit an experienced Contract Manager to oversee repairs and maintenance operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with strong knowledge of responsive repairs and a solid background in SOR (Schedule of Rates) to join a forward-thinking and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of day-to-day repairs and maintenance contracts within social housing
  • Manage contractor performance to ensure KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards are consistently met
  • Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive service improvements
  • Monitor budgets and control costs in line with SOR frameworks
  • Ensure all works are compliant with health andamp; safety regulations and industry standards
  • Lead, motivate, and support operational teams to deliver a high-quality service

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Contract Manager role within social housing repairs and maintenance
  • Strong working knowledge of SOR (Schedule of Rates)
  • Experience managing budgets, performance, and contractor relationships
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
