Job Description
As the Decommissioning Execution and Planning Lead you will provideandnbsp;strong leadership, supervision, and coordination of assigned Decommissioning teams to ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution of decommissioning activities.andnbsp;Accountable for delivering the decommissioning plan (and any approved variations) while meeting or exceeding Safety, Environmental, and Productivity objectives.andnbsp;
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible for building an effective decommissioning planning and delivery teamandnbsp;
- Lead on all safety and environmental activities, ensuring full compliance with site standards and procedures.andnbsp;
- Continuouslyandnbsp;monitorsandnbsp;team capability and implements necessary developmental actionsandnbsp;
- Monitors, enforces, andandnbsp;exhibitsandnbsp;high work standards.andnbsp;
- Responsible for compliance with refineryandnbsp;policyandrsquo;sandnbsp;rules and procedures.andnbsp;
- Communicates expectations to decommissioning team and wider business.andnbsp;
- Responsible for the coordination,andnbsp;prioritisingandnbsp;andandnbsp;timelyandnbsp;execution of work in response to Safety, Environmental or program challenges.andnbsp;
- Serves asandnbsp;focalandnbsp;point for coordination of all planned decommissioning activities andandnbsp;maintainsandnbsp;open and effective communications with site leadership teams.andnbsp;
- Accountable for all requirements for decommissioning and providesandnbsp;expertiseandnbsp;inandnbsp;the overallandnbsp;planning, scheduling and execution.andnbsp;
- Responsible forandnbsp;the facilitation andandnbsp;maintenanceandnbsp;of:andnbsp;
- Decommissioning plan
- Annual Budgetandnbsp;management
- Responsible forandnbsp;implementation ofandnbsp;all operational and environmental procedures during the execution of the decommissioning works.andnbsp;
- Responsible forandnbsp;prioritizationandnbsp;and execution of the removal of pyrophoric risks and works that support these activities. andnbsp;
- Responsible forandnbsp;prioritizationandnbsp;and execution of the catalyst removal worksandnbsp;
- Responsible forandnbsp;prioritizationandnbsp;and execution of the interzonal pipeline clearance worksandnbsp;
- Responsible for the handover certification process for decommissioned units/plant/pipelines.andnbsp;

The Humber Refinery is playing its part of the UKandrsquo;s decarbonisation efforts.
As a part of the UK Governmentandrsquo;s net zero ambition, the Humber Refinery is on a journey to become the Refinery of the Future. With proposed plans for a number of projects including to implement a first-of-a-kind FCC carbon capture project, the Humber Refinery is part of Humber Zero, a world-scale concept to reduce UK industry carbon emissions, saving up to 8 million tonnes of CO2 by 2030 from the Immingham industrial area.
On top of this, the Humber Refinery is the UKandrsquo;s only refiner producing Sustainable Aviation Fuel at scale. It is also the only European facility producing battery anode coke, which forms a critical component for lithium-ion batteries used in electrical vehicles and in consumer electronics. Our current production of battery anode coke is equivalent to placing 1.3 million EVs on the road every year, and we are developing multiple projects to expand this capability.
