Design Co-Ordinator
Job Description
An existing client to Sphere, are looking to employ a Design Co-Ordinator with immediate effect.
The successful candidate will be based across-a large new build major project in Bristol. It will be constructed over a minimum of 5 years and across multiple phases. The end product will consist of-a new build Campus, Auditorium, Office Blocks, Training Facilities, Restaurant, Kitchens, and underground Car Park.-
Duties and-Responsibilities:-
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Employers Requirements-to maximise margins and reduce-risk.-
- Negotiate and execute the appointments, scope and fees of consultants and designers.
- Prepare design programmes and Information Release Schedules.
- Review all design information to ensure it is clear, complete, and meets statutory requirements.-
- Organise, schedule and chair technical meetings with members of the design team and supply chain.-
- Attend Client meetings to report on design release/ design development progress.-
- Participate in tender submissions
- Review tender drawings and assist the Estimating team-
- Manage the RFI process
- Provide technical / commercial support to the project surveyor, in relation to design development, VE, potential variations and settlement of final accounts.
- Maintain quality and environmental control procedures-
- Creating and maintaining good relations with Consultants, Clients and Contractors ensuring effective communication channels are in place.
Desirable Education (not all essential):-
- Design qualifications
- RIBA / ACE / APM / CIOB Membership
- CSR or CSCS Card
- COSHH
- Autocad/BIM
- First Aid at Work-
