Design Manager
Job Description
Our client, a growing consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Design Manager to lead the delivery of various UK water projects. This contract role is based in Manchester with a hybrid working pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate design across a variety of water sector schemes
- Oversee design teams and ensure quality delivery
- Support both clean and wastewater projects
Projects Include:
- Treatment works upgrades
- Clean water mains
- Storm storage andamp; Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) schemes
Working Pattern:
- Office-based in Manchester with flexibility
- Occasional work from home (1-2 days for strong candidates)
- Site visits as required (expenses covered)
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil design within the water sector
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent coordination and organisational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
