The Role

After a series of project wins an exciting opportunity has arisen at one of UKandrsquo;s largest tier 1 main contractors. They are looking to recruit a Design Manager to play a key role in their modular new build division. The initial project you would be working on is a prison modular new build, with lots more in the pipeline.

The Candidate

The successful individual will have worked as a Design Manager for a tier 1 main contractor who has taken the lead on modular new build projects at RIBA stage 3+.

Previous work on Courts / Prisons / Detention Centres / MoJ projects or similar experience would be preferred but not essential.

Key Experience

  • Worked as a Design Manager for a tier 1 main contractor.
  • Worked on modular new build projects RIBA 3+.
  • Excellent IT Skills, Numeracy and Communications skills are required.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Produce the project specific designer agreements.
  • Help produce a realistic design programme.
  • Coordinate between designers and construction teams.
