Job Description
Chippenham (Lacock), Wiltshire
4 on, 4 off shift pattern / 06.00hrs - 18.00hrs
Temp to Perm Position
-13.06-per hour
Company Transport is provided from Swindon or Chippenham.
Key Responsibilities
-
Ensure the correct procedures are followed for picking and loading customer orders.

Assist with picking and loading activities when required.

Count finished goods stock at the start or end of each shift.
-
Accurately complete load sheets and computer spreadsheets.
-
Pick customer orders to the required quality and accuracy standards.
-
Load vehicles safely and complete all relevant documentation for completed loads.
-
Work as a multi-functional team member and support the Team Manager and colleagues across other production lines when required.

Maintain high standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) at all times.
-
Follow all company health and safety procedures and requirements.
-
Follow Lean principles and make suggestions for improvements to processes and ways of working.
-
Support the implementation and maintenance of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety.
-
Carry out other reasonable site-wide duties to support the efficient running of the business.

Keep the working area clean, organised and tidy at all times.
-
Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and health and safety.
-
Report any non-standard conditions or issues immediately to minimise waste and prevent further problems.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:

Basic IT skills.

Good attention to detail and accuracy.

The ability to identify and solve problems and provide practical solutions.

A strong commitment to quality, cleaning and hygiene standards.

A willingness to learn new processes and skills.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Enthusiasm for food production and working within a food manufacturing environment.

The ability and willingness to complete and pass food-related training and qualifications.

A flexible approach to supporting different areas of the operation.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
-
Previous warehouse experience is essential.
-
Previous experience operating MHE (Material Handling Equipment) is essential.

Experience working in a food production, manufacturing or warehouse environment would be advantageous.

Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
-
Ability to follow instructions and company procedures accurately.
