Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Drainage Tanker Driver to join my clients growing teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tanker vehicles to transport and dispose of liquid waste, including sewage and drainage materials, in compliance with environmental and health andamp; safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum tanker vehicles to collect, transport, and dispose of liquid waste from domestic, commercial, and industrial sites
• Carry out drainage services including emptying septic tanks, interceptors, and cesspits
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and legal regulations
• Perform daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
• Complete job reports, waste transfer documentation, and delivery notes accurately
• Maintain high standards of customer service when interacting with clients on-site
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines, including the use of PPE
• Report any incidents, defects, or hazards promptly

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence (Class 1 preferred but not essential)
• Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
• Previous experience operating tanker or waste vehicles (preferred)
• Good understanding of health andamp; safety regulations
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible approach to working hours, including early starts or overtime

Desirable Skills

• Experience in drainage, utilities, or environmental services
• Confined space training (advantageous)
• Knowledge of waste handling and disposal regulations
