Role: Design andamp; Technology (DT) Teacher

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

Contract: Full-Time (Temp to Perm)

Salary: andpound;29,344 andndash; andpound;44,919

Start Date: September 2026

A forward-thinking secondary school in Aylesbury is seeking a skilled and innovative Design andamp; Technology Teacher to join their team from September 2026. The role is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, providing the opportunity to move into a permanent position.

The Role
Deliver engaging DT lessons across KS3 and KS4, encouraging creativity, innovation, and practical skills.

Plan and adapt lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning styles.

Teach a variety of DT disciplines (e.g. product design, resistant materials, graphics, or food technology, depending on specialism).

Support students in developing design, making, and evaluation skills through hands-on learning.

Assess and monitor progress, providing clear feedback to support improvement.

Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment in line with health and safety standards.

Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.

The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant DT teaching experience.

Strong subject knowledge within Design andamp; Technology.

Confident classroom management and the ability to engage students practically and creatively.

Good organisational and communication skills.

A passion for innovation, design, and student achievement.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
