Are you an experienced DT Technician with a strong background in Resistant Materials and a passion for supporting practical learning?
We are working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Small Heath seeking a dedicated DT Technician to support their Design andamp; Technology department.

The Role:
You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging and safe DT lessons, particularly within Resistant Materials, ensuring all practical work is prepared to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
andbull; Prepare, set up and clear away equipment for Resistant Materials lessons (woodwork focus)
andbull; Maintain, service and safely store workshop tools and machinery (e.g. saws, drills, sanders)
andbull; Support teachers and students during practical sessions where required
andbull; Monitor and manage stock, including ordering materials such as timber and fixings
andbull; Ensure strict adherence to health andamp; safety regulations in the workshop
andbull; Maintain a clean, organised and fully functional workshop environment
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:
andbull; Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
andbull; Previous experience as a DT Technician or within a workshop environment
andbull; Strong understanding of Resistant Materials and woodwork machinery
andbull;andnbsp;Relevant health andamp; safety qualification (e.g. SMHS certificate)andnbsp;
andbull; Relevant DT or technical qualifications (preferred)
andbull; Highly organised, proactive and able to work independently
