We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a major data centre project in Blyth. This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with a construction or building services background to work on a large-scale, high-specification project.

The role

You will support the delivery and coordination of electrical works on site, working closely with subcontractors, engineers, the design team and wider project team to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of electrical works across the project

  • Review drawings, specifications and technical submittals

  • Coordinate daily electrical activities with subcontractors and site teams

  • Monitor site progress and provide updates to senior engineers and management

  • Support site QA/QC processes, inspections and installation checks

  • Liaise with the design team and manage RFIs and construction information

  • Attend site, engineering, planning and coordination meetings

  • Maintain electrical documentation and technical records

  • Assist with identifying and resolving technical, design and coordination issues

  • Support the management and close-out of electrical snagging

  • Assist with tracking variations and progress claims

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within electrical construction or building services

  • Experience with electrical systems including power distribution, lighting and associated services

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and site practices

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and site activities

  • Strong technical understanding of electrical installation methodologies

  • Data centre, industrial or other mission-critical experience would be advantageous
