We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Duties

• Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive cost estimates
• Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to gather relevant pricing information
• Prepare detailed proposals outlining labour, materials, equipment, and other costs
• Monitor project budgets and update estimates as project scope evolves
• Assist in negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favourable terms
• Conduct market research to stay informed of current pricing trends and material costs
• Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to optimise expenditure
• Prepare reports and documentation for management review and decision-making

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical estimating within the construction is a must
• On-site experience is preferred but not essential
• Strong understanding of cost control principles and techniques
• Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
• Proficient in relevant software tools such as MS Excel and estimating programmes
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts effectively
• Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and identify cost-saving opportunities
