Electrical Installation Lecturer
Job Description
Contract: Full-time, Permanent | 37 hours per week
Salary: -39,000 - -45,000
Location: Somerset
Job Purpose
To coordinate and deliver practical and theoretical training across Electrical Installation programmes from Level 1 up to Level 3 Diplomas and Apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching andamp; Assessment: Deliver engaging workshop and classroom sessions. Design Schemes of Work, conduct assessments, and provide constructive feedback to prepare learners for exams and endpoint assessments (EPA).
Student Support: Act as the primary mentor for assigned cohorts. Track attendance and performance while liaising with training officers, parents, and employers.
Workshop Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and compliant practical workshop environment. Uphold strict health and safety, PPE, and tool control standards.

Requirements
Essential: Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (or equivalent/Apprenticeship) and a current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certificate (BS 7671). Strong industry site experience.
Desirable: Teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed), Assessor Award (TAQA/A1), or Candamp;G 2391 Inspection andamp; Testing. Previous experience instructing in an FE environment.
