We are recruiting an experienced Factory Manager / Factory Operations Manager to support a busy food manufacturing site in Leicester. This business requires strong, hands-on operational leadership to stabilise performance, drive improvements, and get the factory back on track during a critical period.
This role is highly visible, floor-based and operationally focused ideal for someone who leads from the front and can balance day-to-day control with strategic thinking.

The Opportunity
andmiddot;Lead a 50-strong production team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
andmiddot;High-care and low-care production areas, including full packaging operations
andmiddot;Site undergoing change and needing stabilisation, structure, and operational discipline
andmiddot;Immediate requirement for an experienced interim operator who can make an impact quickly
andmiddot;Opportunity to shape processes, improve performance, and build strong leadership behaviours

Key Requirements
andmiddot;Proven experience as a Factory Manager, Factory Operations Manager, or similar senior production leadership role
andmiddot;Strong background in food manufacturing operations
andmiddot;Solid working knowledge of BRC and food safety compliance
andmiddot;Ability to lead from the front boots on the ground, highly visible, and respected on the shop floor
andmiddot;Able to restore control, introduce structure, and drive performance in fast-moving environments
andmiddot;Skilled at balancing hands-on leadership with strategic direction when required
andmiddot;Experience managing high- and low-care production areas
andmiddot;Strong communicator who can influence, motivate, and build trust quickly
andmiddot;Comfortable in a business that needs stabilisation and operational uplift
