A growing engineering business is expanding its in-house controls capability following the successful delivery of two major infrastructure projects. Having entered the full-machine build space for the first time, the company has already successfully delivered two major multi-million-pound projects.

With strong project momentum and a clear pipeline ahead, the next phase is to bring electrical design fully in-house - and this role will support that journey as part of a developing team.

Graduate/Junior Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

  • Supporting electrical design for control systems (assisting with full drawing packages for manufacture)
  • Working on large-scale infrastructure and automation projects
  • Assisting with site surveys for refurbishment projects (with support)
  • Collaborating with panel builders, senior engineers, and electrical contractors
  • Opportunity to gain exposure to commissioning activities (optional and supported)

This is a development-focused role where you will be mentored by experienced engineers and gradually take on more responsibility as your skills grow.

Graduate/Junior Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

  • Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • andnbsp;0andndash;2 yearsandrsquo; experience (including placements or internships)
  • Some exposure to electrical design software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN andndash; training provided)
  • Interest in control systems / automation
  • Willingness to learn, adaptable, and proactive
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach

PLC knowledge or programming exposure would be beneficial but is not essential.
