Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Consultant in Genitourinary Medicine to join a well-organised clinical service in Wigan. Starting mid-June, this role offers a structured outpatient setting with flexible working days, protected administrative time, and a manageable, patient-focused workload.

Key details:

  • June start
  • 4 days per week
  • Flexible
  • 30-minute patient appointment slots
  • 30 minutes protected admin time at the end of each clinic
  • Occasional complex patient reviews or community-based visits where required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality GUM outpatient consultations
  • Diagnose, manage, and treat a wide range of genitourinary conditions
  • Provide sexual health screening, treatment, and follow-up care
  • Develop and implement patient-centred management plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Essential Requirements:

  • GMC Specialist Register (GUM, CCT, CESR or equivalent)
  • Full GMC registration with licence to practise
  • Proven experience at Consultant level in Genitourinary Medicine
