Location: Sizewell C, Suffolk
Salary: andpound;55,000 andndash; andpound;65,000 per annum

We are supporting a key client with the appointment of an experienced Health andamp; Safety Advisorandnbsp;to support their project team atandnbsp;Sizewell C.andnbsp;This role is ideally suited to a proactive Handamp;S professional with a strong background in civil engineering or construction, who is passionate about driving positive safety culture on complex, high-profile projects.

As Health andamp; Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the project delivery teams by promoting best practice, ensuring compliance with legislation and client standards, and helping to achieve an incident- and accident-free workplace.

The Role

You will be responsible for the effective implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of the companyandrsquo;s Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems across the project. Working collaboratively with delivery teams, clients, the workforce and the supply chain, you will act as a trusted advisor and practical problem solver on all Handamp;S matters.

Experience andamp; Knowledge
  • Proven experience within civil engineering or construction, ideally including areas such as:Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation
    • Earthworks and groundworks
    • Drainage
    • Reinforced concrete
    • Temporary works
    • Structures
    • Lifting operations
  • Good understanding of client Handamp;S requirements
  • Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015, including roles and responsibilities
Skills andamp; Attributes
  • IT literate
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence, engage and improve safety culture at all levels
  • Confident working proactively with clients, contractors and site teams
  • Capable of training, supporting and developing staff
  • Organised, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General and/or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
  • IOSH Membership
  • Valid CSCS Card
