Are you ready to lead health and safety initiatives across high-profile infrastructure projects?

We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to champion health and safety excellence within a major multi-sector organisation involved high-profile civil engineering projects. The role fosters a collaborative safety culture across multiple sites and offices, supporting operational excellence, wellbeing, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and promote health, safety, and environmental standards across multiple sectors, ensuring compliance with internal and client requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks to maintain high safety standards.
• Support incident investigations, address safety concerns, and facilitate continuous safety improvements.
• Provide health and wellbeing guidance, including project-specific training and monitoring.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors, and clients at safety and environmental meetings to ensure best practices.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Comprehensive knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation, including CDM and ISO 45001.
• Relevant safety certifications such as NEBOSH Diploma or NCRQ Diploma, and membership in IOSH or equivalent.
• Proven experience in rail, power, highways, or tunnelling sectors within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 organisation.
• Strong ability to generate, review, and implement safety policies, conduct investigations, and improve safety performance.
