In this HGV Technician role you will be joining a well-established, high-performing workshop based in the Reading area, working for a leading authorised dealership group known for its exceptional standards, manufacturer-approved training, and long-standing reputation for quality service and vehicle support across the UK.

We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified HGV Technician to strengthen a team within a premium commercial vehicle environment that places a strong emphasis on technical excellence, career development, and workshop efficiency.

Duties of the HGV Technician

  • Performing major and minor repairs to heavy goods vehicles
  • Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults and planning effective repair solutions
  • Maintaining accurate service and repair documentation
  • Completing warranty paperwork and escalating issues where required
  • General workshop responsibilities as an HGV Technician within a busy dealership environment


The ideal HGV Technician:

  • Level 3 qualification (NVQ, City andamp; Guilds or IMI) in HGV Repair andamp; Maintenance
  • Proven experience in diagnostics, servicing, and repair work
  • A strong understanding of modern HGV systems, ideally within a manufacturer-backed or franchised dealership environment supported by leading OEM training programmes
