HLTA - The Role
This school is looking for an experienced HLTA to join their team supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). For this HLTA role, the school would ideally like someone who has previous experience working within a SEN setting and supporting pupils with complex needs. The HLTA will be expected to support the class teacher with delivering tailored lessons, lead small group activities, and occasionally cover lessons when required. The ideal HLTA will be confident working with pupils who require high levels of support, including those with physical disabilities, communication needs, and sensory learning needs. This is a long-term role starting ASAP with the potential to become a permanent position within the school.
HLTA - The School
This is a specialist SEN school in Enfield based on the structure and support model of Waverley School, catering for pupils aged 3-19 with complex learning difficulties including PMLD. The school provides a highly supportive and nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to develop independence, communication, and life skills. The school has a strong team of teachers, therapists, and support staff who work collaboratively to ensure every pupil receives the support they need. The school is well resourced with specialist facilities to support pupils with complex needs and is easily accessible within the Enfield area.
