Medlock Partners are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join their HR team. This role will focus on delivering a high-quality HR operations service, supporting the employee lifecycle, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across HR systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities for the HR Assistant:

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Act as a first point of contact for HR queries via the HR helpline

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Support the onboarding process, including pre-employment checks and documentation

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Prepare and issue contracts, variations and HR correspondence

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Support payroll processes, including preparing and submitting monthly data

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Administer employee lifecycle activities, including maternity and paternity processes

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with data protection standards

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Support HR systems (HRIS), including reporting and data analysis

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Assist with process improvements and HR system enhancements

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Identify and escalate risks or anomalies, including payroll and employee relations matters

Key requirements for the HR Assistant:

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Proven experience in an HR administration or HR operations role

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Experience managing high-volume transactional HR activity with strong attention to detail

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Confident using HR systems and handling HR data

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Ability to interpret policies, procedures and terms and conditions

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards (desirable)

andmiddot;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;Experience with HRIS systems, reporting or education sector environments (desirable)
