The Role
Responsible to assist in the development of strategic policies in line with key corporate objectives for all matters relating to Health andamp; Safety, Environmental and Quality assurance within the Briggs Group.
Principal Responsibilities
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Assist in the maintenance of the companyandrsquo;s HSEQ management systems
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Assist in the development of HSEQ policies, processes, and guidelines
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Act as the HSEQ first point of contact for given specified departments
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Develop communications to support HSEQ initiatives
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Provide advice to the business on HSEQ matters e.g., fire, hazardous substances, waste management, work equipment, occupational health, reportable incidents
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Conduct investigations into incidents to establish causation and corrective measures
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Assist in the development and the testing of emergency arrangements
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Maintaining current knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements related to HSEQ matters and assist in the maintenance of the companyandrsquo;s legal registers
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Conduct internal HSEQ audits and facilitate third party audits of the companyandrsquo;s HSEQ management systems.

andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Provision of advice to the business on management of non-conformance
Health andamp; Safety and Environmentandnbsp;

andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Management of incident reporting
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Conducting HSEQ audits and inspections
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Liaising with other business departments on matters relating to HSEQ
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Conducting incident investigations
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Maintenance of legal registers
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Development of policies and procedures
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Preparing and updating emergency response procedures and accident reports
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Undertake surveys using equipment to assess risks to health e.g., noise surveys
Qualifications
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;NEBOSH General Certificate, NVQ Level 3 in OHS or equivalent
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Internal Auditor qualification
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Evidence of continued professional development
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001
andbull;andnbsp;andnbsp; andnbsp;Membership of IOSH
