Interim Deputy Headteacher | Leicestershire

We are looking for an experienced interim leader to take on a Deputy Headteacher role at a specialist-in Leicestershire.-

The Context

The school is at an important moment. A senior leadership gap has opened up and they need an experienced, confident leader to step in, provide stability and lead the school effectively day to day.-

A specialist school with a strong therapeutic ethos and full-time therapy staff on site. The school takes its values seriously and wants a leader whose approach reflects that. It is a settled, purposeful environment with a committed staff team that needs strong leadership to bring everything together.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the school day to day and acting as the main point of contact for all stakeholders
• Providing clear strategic direction and stability to the senior leadership team
• Leading on behaviour, welfare and whole school culture
• Embedding a trauma-informed and relational approach across the school
• Direct line management of-staff-

What We Are Looking For

• Previous Headteacher or senior leadership experience in a specialist or complex setting
• A strong track record in behaviour, culture and safeguarding
• A relational, trauma-informed leadership style
• Immediately available or finishing a role at Easter

The Details

• Role: Interim Deputy Headteacher (acting Headteacher responsibilities)
• Location: Leicestershire
• Start: Immediate / post-Easter
• Duration: Ongoing, through summer term and possibly beyond
• Working pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week (less may be considered)
• Daily rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
