Are you an experienced KS2 Teacher looking for a long-term opportunity within a supportive primary school?
TeacherActive are working with a welcoming Primary School in Smethwick to recruit a dedicated teacher for a maternity cover role starting April 2026 through to October 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who thrives on consistency, building relationships, and making a lasting impact.
The Role:- Full class teaching responsibilities within Key Stage 2 (ideally Upper KS2 andndash; Year 5/6)
- Full-time commitment: Monday andndash; Friday (8:00am andndash; 4:00pm)
- Planning, preparation, and assessment (PPA) responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons aligned with the curriculum
- Attend staff meetings, CPD sessions, and parentsandrsquo; evenings
- Monitor and support pupil progress and attainment
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
- Strong experience within KS2, ideally Year 5 and/or Year 6
- A confident and adaptable teaching style
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning

- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through TeacherActive)
