KS2 Teaching Assistant - Chester

Location: Chester and surrounding areas
Salary: £95 - £105 per day

Are you an experienced Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Chester?

Academics is working with a number of primary schools across Chester and the surrounding area, and we're looking for confident, enthusiastic TAs to join our team.

Whether you're looking for a few days a week, consistent supply work or a longer-term position, we can help match you with schools that suit your experience and availability.

What You Could Be Doing

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across Years 3-6 with:

• Classroom learning and independent work
• Small-group and one-to-one interventions
• Reading, writing and maths activities
• SATs preparation and targeted support
• SEND and additional learning needs
• Behaviour, confidence and emotional wellbeing
• Practical and creative classroom activities

You'll work alongside teachers and other school staff to help pupils get the most from their education.

We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working in a primary school
• Confidence supporting children within Key Stage 2
• A patient, encouraging and positive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to adapt to different classrooms and teaching styles
• A genuine interest in helping children progress

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is advantageous, although relevant school-based experience is also very much considered.

Experience with SEND, ASD, SEMH, EHCPs, interventions or behaviour support is particularly valuable.
