Full Job Description
Hill McGlynn is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established grounds maintenance and landscaping company based in Gillingham, Kent. With a strong reputation for creating and maintaining high-quality outdoor spaces, our client is looking to appoint a hardworking and reliable Landscape Labourer to join their growing team.
The company specialises in maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments that improve well-being and support biodiversity, working across residential developments, commercial sites, and locations such as army barracks throughout Kent, Essex, and the wider South East.

The Role:
As a Landscape Labourer, you will support a range of grounds maintenance and landscaping projects, working as part of a professional team to deliver high standards across various sites. This is a hands-on role that will involve outdoor work in all weather conditions, with opportunities to learn and develop new skills, including the use of specialist equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out general grounds maintenance duties across multiple sites
  • Grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, and vegetation control
  • Assisting with planting, turfing, and soft landscaping works
  • Loading and unloading tools, materials, and equipment
  • Using machinery such as strimmers, mowers, and hedge cutters (training provided if required)
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and tidy work areas
  • Travelling to various sites across Kent, Essex, and the South East
  • Supporting team members to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Previous experience as a Landscape Labourer or in a similar outdoor role (preferred)
  • Experience using landscaping equipment or relevant machine tickets (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence (clean licence required)
  • Comfortable with flexible start times depending on job requirements
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual outdoor work
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check

What's on Offer:
  • andpound;31,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday working schedule (no later than 5:00pm finish) Expect 9-10 hour working day with travel
  • Flexible start times depending on location of job with earlier finishes where applicable
