Lead Design Engineer
We are working with a key client, founded in 1960, is aandnbsp;andldquo;Leader by Designandrdquo; of high and low-pressure cartridge valves, reducing stations,andnbsp;and manifoldsandnbsp;for critical and demanding applications.andnbsp; They are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Design Engineer to join their business in Oldham.
Key requirements for theandnbsp;Lead Design Engineer:
- Must have over 5andnbsp;years working experience as aandnbsp;Lead Design Engineerandnbsp;
- Ideally degree educatedandnbsp;inandnbsp;in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldandnbsp;
- We will consider apprentice trained individualsandnbsp;
- Experience of 3D CAD is requiredandnbsp;
- Must have extensive experience and proven background in engineering manufacturing
- Must have some experience of leadership and mentoring small to medium teamsandnbsp;
- Strong grasp of mechanical principles and system design methodologies
- Experience with MathCad for pressure and strength calculations would be beneficial
- Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a plus
- Knowledge of GDandamp;T practices and manufacturing engineering is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to convey technical concepts clearly
- Leadership potential with a collaborative and growth-oriented mindset The leadership skills to maintain and develop specialised mechanical design team.
- Security clearance and DBS checks will be carried outandnbsp;
