Job Title: Lead Engineering Manager - Civils andamp; Stations

Location: UK Wide (with significant travel required)
Contract Type: Contract (Inside IR35, via Umbrella only)
Duration: Ongoing long-term project

We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager to oversee a team of NEC3 Supervisors working on a major UK infrastructure programme across Civils and Stations. This is a leadership-focused role requiring someone who can provide technical direction, ensure delivery excellence, and champion quality across multiple workstreams.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of NEC3 Supervisors, ensuring consistent application of standards and procedures.

  • Oversee competency, reporting, and performance KPIs across the supervisory function.

  • Promote best practice in engineering supervision and drive continuous improvement.

  • Attend and contribute to the Quality Leadership Forum, sharing insight and lessons learned.

  • Manage implementation of disallowed cost processes for defects across contracts.

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and contractor organisations to ensure alignment and collaboration.



Key Requirements

  • Proven experience leading NEC Supervisor teams on major civil engineering or infrastructure programmes (mega-project experience preferred).

  • NEC3 Supervisor accreditation (essential).

  • Strong understanding of NEC contract principles, quality management, and defect resolution.

  • Skilled in performance management, reporting, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Confident communicator capable of building rapport with senior stakeholders across multiple contractors.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across project sites and regional offices.
