Learning Support Assistant
Job Description
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a highly engaging SEND school in Stourbridge that provides a broad and practical curriculum, with a strong focus on outdoor learning and vocational experiences. This LSA role is based within a nurturing and structured environment where pupils are supported to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills.
This long-term LSA position is available for an ASAP start. The successful LSA will be supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), mild learning difficulties and more complex needs, both in the classroom and through practical, off-site and vocational activities. The LSA will play a key role in helping learners access education in a meaningful and accessible way.
The successful LSA will have:
andbull; Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
andbull; Experience working as an LSA or in a similar SEND support role
andbull; Experience supporting children with Autism (ASD) and complex learning needs
andbull; Strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive relationships
andbull; Confidence supporting outdoor learning and vocational activities
andbull; A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
