Maintenance QS
Job Description
My client is one of the UKandrsquo;s largest painting, refurbishment and property maintenance and fire protection contractors in the south of England, both in terms of our directly employed workforce and geographical coverage.
Projects will be covering from Portsmouth, Winchester to theandnbsp;Salisbury Plain regions.
Responsibilities:
andmiddot; Measurement, pricing and evaluation of tenders
andmiddot; Take responsibility of projects from contract award through to final account agreement
andmiddot; Cost management
andmiddot; CVR reporting and forecasting
andmiddot; Reporting progress to senior management
andmiddot; Management and administration of sub-contractor accounts
andmiddot; Producing and submitting applications for payment
andmiddot; Agreement of final accounts and completion of required client documentation to facilitate client approval
Knowledge / Experience:
andmiddot; Professional Qualification (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent
andmiddot; Previous experience of Construction Property refurbishments projects
andmiddot; Previous experience of working with bill of quants, schedules of ratesandnbsp;
andmiddot; Extensive experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors
andmiddot; Ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of monthly reporting
andmiddot; Excellent team player whilst also holding the ability to work independently on own initiative.
andmiddot; Excellent time management skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines
andmiddot; Ability to encourage and support other members of the commercial team
