Freelance Mechanical Construction Manager andndash; Central London andndash; andpound;400 andndash; andpound;450 per day andndash; 9 Month Contract

Skilled Careers are currently working with an established and highly respected Mandamp;E contractor who are looking for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team on a freelance basis for an initial 9-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a prestigious mixed-use development project in Central London, delivering high-quality mechanical installations on a flagship scheme.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the mechanical installation on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all mechanical installation activities on site
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site teams
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with programme and project milestones
  • Maintain high standards of health andamp; safety and site compliance
  • Liaise with the main contractor, consultants, and wider project team
  • Monitor quality control and ensure installations meet project specifications
  • Assist with commissioning and handover phases

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Mechanical Construction Manager on large Mandamp;E or mixed-use developments
  • Strong background managing mechanical installations on complex construction projects
  • Excellent knowledge of site health andamp; safety procedures
  • Strong coordination and communication skills
  • Ability to drive programme and manage subcontractor performance
  • SMSTS, Black or Gold CSCS, and relevant mechanical qualifications (desirable)
