Job Details

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a plumbing background to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across a variety of buildings. This role requires previous experience working as a site-based engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely within a small, dedicated team to deliver all mechanical and HVAC Planned Maintenance (PM) tasks across multiple sites.
• Respond efficiently to reactive maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly.
• Support statutory compliance tasks (e.g., emergency lighting checks, fire damper inspections) where trained.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current health and safety legislation and best practice.

Essential Skills andamp; Experience:

• Proven experience as a site-based engineer on a multi-building site.
• Strong plumbing background with an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification.
• Solid experience in maintaining HVAC systems.
• Experience delivering compliance maintenance in commercial or public buildings.
• Good knowledge of Legionella control, ACOP L8, and water hygiene best practices.
• Ability to produce accurate compliance documentation.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using CAFM systems or handheld devices for task management.
• A valid UK driving licence is required.

Desirable Qualifications:

• WRAS Approved.
• Gas Safe Registered.
• Legionella Awareness Training (City andamp; Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience with TMV maintenance, dead-leg identification and water sampling.
• CSCS or other relevant site safety card.
