FirstAchieve are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our global engineering parnter, specialising in the overhaul and maintenance of rotating equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking for stable hours and competitive pay.

Position Details:

• Role: Mechanical Fitter
• Hours: 37 hours per week
• Pay Rate: -23 per hour
• Type: Full-time, permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Overhaul, repair, and maintenance of rotating equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc.)
• Fault finding, diagnostics, and precision fitting
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
• Working both independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally with rotating equipment
• Apprenticeship served or time-served mechanical fitter
• Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills
• Ability to work from technical drawings
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Relevant engineering qualifications (preferred but not essential)
