Hales Group are recruiting on behalf of our established client for a Hygiene Operator.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all production areas, equipment, and facilities meet the highest hygiene and sanitation standards. This role plays a vital part in maintaining product safety, supporting audit compliance, and promoting a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out scheduled cleaning of production lines, food-contact surfaces, machinery, and surrounding areas.
• Safely dismantle and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Operate cleaning equipment and use hygiene chemicals safely, including CIP systems, foaming equipment, and disinfectants.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to the required standards and within designated timescales.
• Dispose of waste materials in line with company procedures and environmental guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the facility.

Health & Safety:

• Adhere to all company health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Wear and maintain the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH guidelines.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a hygiene, cleaning, or food production environment is desirable.
• Good understanding of hygiene standards and food safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
