Operational Services Transformation Specialist
Location: London
Rate: Up to -800 per day
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Contract: 3-6 months

Spencer Clarke Group's Local Authority client is seeking an experienced interim leader to support a time-critical operational improvement assignment across a large, front-line leisure service.

This is a hands-on transformation brief for someone who can quickly assess service risk, review management practice, and implement a clear plan to improve governance, operational consistency and people management across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include

• Conducting a rapid, objective review of operational and management practice
  
• Identifying service risks, root causes and priority improvement areas
  
• Developing and supporting delivery of a practical action plan
  
• Improving consistency, governance and operational effectiveness across sites
  
• Reviewing alignment with HR, health and safety, procurement and financial procedures
  
• Working closely with senior leadership and HR colleagues in a politically sensitive environment
  
• Supporting modernisation of workforce management and day-to-day service operations
  

About You

• Proven senior leadership experience across large, front-line operational services
  
• Strong track record in transformation, stabilisation and service improvement
  
• Comfortable operating in unionised environments and handling sensitive employee relations issues
  
• Able to influence senior stakeholders and work credibly at both strategic and operational level
  
• Ideally brings experience of insourcing, outsourcing or post-transition service reset work
  
• Public sector or local government experience essential
  
• Able to operate independently and objectively throughout the assignment
